Neuro-Linguistic Programing

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is a rapidly evolving field of discoveries about how people think, act, behave and communicate. It explores the relationship of our mental-emotional selves with our physiology, and examines how our life experience creates inner programming in our neurological centers that influence factors such as our physical health, fears and addictive tendencies. NLP also provides processes of negotiating with the body's inner programming, so that we can be free of unhealthy programs that do not serve us physically, mentally or emotionally.

Core Transformation, one of these processes, enables the individual to directly communicate with their body. Using this process for the purpose of healing physical illness removes the mental and emotional blocks that cultivate disease, and changes one's relationship to it. For an in-depth discussion of this process, please refer to the book, Core Transformation, by Connierae Andreas.

Geri Ossmen-Almeida (who can be reached at her business @ (303)-880-5313), a close personal friend and an NLP trainer and practitioner of 15 years, facilitated a core transformation process with Gary shortly after we had realized the futility of more chemotherapy or surgery. At this point his fear and despair were at an all time high. Through the core transformation process, Gary was able to re-frame his perception and relationship towards cancer and see it as a teacher, rather than an enemy. This simple change in perception dramatically altered the fear factor, which we believe has a great deal to do with contributing to the growth of cancer. After undergoing this process, there was an immediate and ongoing shift in the way Gary reasserted his power in overcoming his illness. The following statement illustrates well how Gary has redefined his experience:

It often takes a crisis to break through our usual models of the world. A crisis is a gift, an opportunity, and perhaps a manifestation that life loves us by beckoning us to go beyond the dance we presently perform.
