Chinese Herbal Remedies

Over the past two thousand years traditional Chinese medicine has developed specific protocols for enhancing the immune system, resolving tumors and mitigating the side effects of modern cancer therapies. Chinese medicine has a great deal to offer in the treatment of chronic diseases such as hepatitis and cancer.

Quite often I'm asked if Chinese medicine really works. My response to this question is best answered with the results of a case history of a patient with hepatitis C. The patients' liver enzymes were 500 points above normal following a year of interferon treatment for hepatitis C. The patient took Salvia/Ligustrum Tablets and acupuncture treatments for six weeks. After the six-week treatment period the patients liver enzymes had gone from 539 to 150. This response demonstrates the effectiveness in using Chinese medicine to treat complex medical conditions.

Cinnamon and Rehmannia is an herbal formula that targets ovarian cysts and lipomos. I treated a patient with a 10cm ovarian tumor, which was benign. The patient refused medical treatment and chose to try a more natural approach. The tumor was large enough that it had put pressure on the patients urinary bladder and frequent urination was a serious problem. After three weeks of treatment the patient reported that frequent urination was no longer a problem, which seemed to indicate that the tumor might have diminished in size. A CT-scan later revealed that the mass had been reduced to 7cm. The tumor had also undergone a dramatic change; it had detached from the ovary and now appeared as membrane filled with clear fluid. These examples demonstrate the targeted strategies that Chinese medicine offers for chronic conditions.
